Playthrough Kicks Off at the Raleigh Convention Center Today

RALEIGH, NC, US, February 17, 2018 / — All people who enjoy games are invited to drop by the Raleigh Convention Center today and Sunday to attend the Playthrough Gaming Convention, which has record-breaking registration today and expects to exceed previous years’ attendance again tomorrow.

Playthrough is a weekend-long extravaganza showcasing the latest games and opportunities for players to meet others who share their passion. Whether it’s video games, esports, tabletop games, or playtesting new creations, Playthrough has something for everyone.

Anyone with an interest in video games is welcome to come learn what the business is all about at the East Coast Game Conference (ECGC) April 17-19 to see why Raleigh is a fantastic home for game development and game technologies.

The largest gathering of video game professionals on the East Coast, ECGC returns for its tenth year to provide game developers an engaging learning program and opportunities for networking and collaboration.

Building on year over year growth, ECGC is bringing back Community Day, an after-school program on April 17th, which focuses on the community, with families, educators and students coming to learn about the industry and its job opportunities.

The main professional conference with notable game industry speakers from around the world (and many from North Carolina) is open to all and will be held April 18 and 19.

Epic Games’ Fortnite is breaking records with over 3.4 million concurrent players this month, and well over 40 million total players. Fortnite will be featured at this year’s East Coast Game Conference (ECGC). Epic is based in Cary, NC.
