Dr. Javidi is the founder/CEO of Simbryo Corporation, a North Carolina-based game development company with more than 200 published video games and development tools to its credit. He serves as chair of the Simulation and Game Development program at Central Piedmont, where he created the first state-approved associate degree program in Simulation and Game Development in the nation. A professor of Simulation and Game Development for more than 20 years, he has created more than 50 courses in the discipline. His teams have won the ImagineCup US Game Championship twice, with one team advancing to the ImagineCup World Championship. Dr. Javidi is a poet, author, and nationally-recognized conference speaker, and served as a judge for both the Smithsonian Museum Arcade and Microsoft’s ImagineCup World Championship in the areas of Game and Mobile App Development. He is a lifetime member of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA), where he served as a board member for three years.
