Marc Tucker graduated from the Simulation and Game Development (SGD) program at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) and went on to receive my Bachelors of Arts from Full Sail University in 3D Computer Animation. He is currently a faculty member for the SGD department at CPCC focusing in Animation, Modeling, Lighting and Shading, and Rigging. He also teaches AI Programming and Mobile Programming courses. He prefers Unreal for Level Design and Lighting but enjoys the Programming workflow for Unity.
Marc has worked on a number of freelance projects for Microsoft, IBM, Wells Fargo, Simbryo Corp, and 704 Games in Charlotte, NC in a wide range of disciplines. He loves playing and developing games himself. For the most part, plays console games on my PS4 and Xbox games on my PC, :). He enjoys games like FarCry, Final Fantasy, Diablo, and most JRPGs. He doesn’t enjoy Fighting Games all that much but can appreciate the mechanics and skill. He prefers co-op games over competitive multi-player.

Many Colleges across the nation already have, or are interested in creating, a curriculum program related to the Game Development industry. This full-day event will bring together Simulation and Game Development faculty and Industry Leaders to share their ideas, discuss issues, and examine what the future holds for education in the Entertainment Industry as it applies to Game Development.
We will hold round table discussions with Faculty and Industry leaders, discuss classroom best practices, and feature workshops for faculty interested in ways to teach topics effectively in online, hybrid, and fully online courses. Course topics will include best practices for delivering effective content for 3D Modeling, Animation, Engineering, Narrative Design, Sound Engineering, and Game Design.
