Brian Heagney

Instructor of Game & Interactive Media Design, High Point University
Before entering academia at High Point University (HPU) to specialize in Video Game and Interactive Media Design, I spent over a decade wielding an arsenal of virtual tools to create visualizations, simulations and animations for architecture, urban planning, simulation and gaming, and even crime-scene reconstruction.

For the last few years I have been designing and developing a card-sorting game for lemurs, parrots, tortoises, wild cats, and other non-human animals. I want to share what I've learned along the way, focusing on: psychological motivations; UI design; leveling up; biological constraints; end-users; and a bit more.
