East Coast Game Conference Takes a Break in 2024
ECGC and its host, the Triangle Game Initiative (TGI) will not host an event in 2024. This move marks a pivotal moment for the conference, as its organizers partner with the community for a new and exciting event slated for late 2025.
Founded nearly two decades ago, ECGC and its predecessor DGXpo, have served as a beacon for industry professionals, indie developers, colleges, and universities, providing opportunities for networking, collaboration, and professional development. ECGC has consistently delivered programs tailored to immerse attendees in the latest industry trends and innovations.
ECGC has featured keynote speakers from various sectors of the game industry, including luminaries such as John Romero, Sergey Galyonkin, Warren Spector, Brenda Romero, and Mike Laidlaw. These keynote addresses have served as highlights of the conference, offering valuable insight and inspiration to attendees.
The decision to take a break in 2024 comes as ECGC undergoes a strategic transformation, paving the way for a reimagined conference experience in late 2025. While details are still under wraps, organizers promise the changes will enhance the attendees' experience with new, innovative features, and even more fun!
