Some published games include Academagia: The Making of Mages (Black Chicken Studios), Wooli: Return to Ploppington (CrowdCell), and Fat Chicken (Relevant Games). She co-authored The Game Narrative Toolbox (Focal Press, 2015), a book on narrative design, with Jennifer Brandes Hepler, Ann Lemay, and Tobias Heussner. She is a member of the IGDA Game Writing Special Interest Group’s Executive Board. Her current projects include a book on narrative design and game writing for mobile/social games (CRC Press, 2017) and narrative design on a game for an announced VR studio.

Faculty and Workshop Schedule TBD
Limited to 40 participants and requires a separate registration
9:00am – 3:00pm
ECGC is proud to announce its inaugural Game Narrative Tutorial! Are you a game writer or narrative designer? Don’t consider yourself a storyteller, but find yourself working on the narrative for a game? Wanting to work as a game writer or narrative designer? Just interested in the craft? The Game Narrative Tutorial features a day of workshops covering a range of writing and narrative design topics and techniques.
Workshops will be taught by veteran game writers and narrative designers. We’ll look at effective storytelling in all kinds of videogames, from AAA franchises and popular indie titles, to mobile games, to games with little or no story. Collaborate with your fellow participants to write the story documentation and narrative design of hypothetical games created for the tutorial.
Bring Paper and something to write with.
