Ken is an award winning learning strategist and technologist, industrial designer and writer. An animator for the EPA at the forefront of digital technology in the late 1980s, he became a pioneer in the field of multimedia, including a pivotal role on the team developing tools for Shockwave 3D in 2000. He holds a Bachelor of Industrial Design from NC State University and a Master of Science in Instructional Technology from East Carolina University. He is known for my out-of-the box creativity and a strong knowledge of interactive marketing and education combined with the use of emerging learning technologies. He currently researches advanced technologies and methods for business and education, leveraging voice interfaces, AI, games, and video to engage learners and promote innovation.

During this session you will be introduced to the wonderful world of natural language processing through Alexa. This session will include a brief overview of voice technology, examples of current Alexa applications in gaming and a short demonstration of how easy it is to create your first Alexa SKill with pointers on how to avoid getting lost in the conversation.
